The HT Center Channel (Price EACH)

Any serious home theater installation needs a center channel with broad and even radiation and high power handling and intelligibility.  For many situations, a single BMR monitor on its side with the tweeter rotated will be a perfectly satisfactory and economical solution.

But for the most demanding HT applications there is no substitute for a high quality WMTW center that is designed specifically for broad coverage and maximum power handling.

We believe the new HT Center Channel meets that need.  It features dual ScanSpeak 5.25" Revelator woofers—the smaller companions of the 8" Revelator used in the BMR tower.  In addition to providing a full 6.5 mm of linear one-way excursion (9 mm maximum), the Revelators perform admirably in a sealed cabinet to maximize placement flexibility.  

We believe the new HT Center Channel fulfills this need. It features dual 5.25-inch ScanSpeak Revelator woofers, closely related to the renowned 8-inch Revelator used in the BMR Tower. These drivers provide a full 6.5 mm of linear one-way excursion (9 mm maximum) and are exceptionally well suited to sealed-enclosure operation, maximizing placement flexibility without sacrificing low-frequency control.  Complementing the woofers is a dedicated 4-inch ScanSpeak neodymium midrange driver housed in its own isolated chamber. This midrange offers an exceptionally smooth and wide bandwidth, maintaining linear response well beyond 3 kHz for outstanding dialog intelligibility and tonal accuracy.

The HT’s tweeter is a high-quality AMT unit, specially engineered for Philharmonic Audio to deliver wider dispersion than typical AMT drivers or conventional 1-inch dome tweeters.

Completing the design is a meticulously engineered 20-element crossover network that seamlessly integrates all drivers, resulting in an exceptionally even frequency response both on-axis and well off-axis.
